  Mr Philippe Paillart(Chairman)

Mr Philippe Paillart was formerly vice chairman and CEO of DBS Bank and a pioneer in the retail banking industry in the Asia Pacific region, having served at senior management levels at Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank. Prior to his appointment with DBS, Paillart was Chairman, President and CEO of Ford Motor Credit Company, and President of Ford Financial Services Group.

   
  Mr Varun Sabhlok (Vice Chairman)

Mr. Sabhlok is an expert in relationship management, financial management, and risk management in financial services industries. Mr. Sabhlok's experience has been honed over 11 years as South Asia regional audit director with Citibank in its global consumer banking division in Asia, country credit director in Thailand, and as CFO of the Singapore business.

   
  Mr Wilson Chia

Wilson Chia is a highly seasoned banker with over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, he was the Regional Head of Consumer Banking for South East Asia with Standard Chartered Bank. Wilson joined Standard Chartered in a number of senior positions in Cards, Marketing & Sales, Distribution, Product Management, SME and Premier Banking.

   
  Mr David Gyori

Mr. David Gyori is a globally renowned fintech consultant, trainer, author and keynote speaker. He is the chief exefcutive officer of Banking Reports based in London and is a founding member of the World FinTech Association. Gyori is a faculty member of the Retail Banking Academy, one of the most prestigious banker-training facilities.

   
  Mr Chris Skinner 

Mr. Chris Skinner is known worldwide as a leading commentator and strategist on the financial markets, and is a well-known blogger through thefinanser.com. He works full-time as chief executive of think tank Balatro, as well as chairman of the Financial Services Club and a co-founder of the website Shaping Tomorrow.

   
  Mr Richard Hartung 

Mr. Richard Hartung has over 20 years of experience in the payments & consumer financial services industry. He has held senior roles for financial institutions including Citibank, Mastercard International, and OCBC Cards. Mr Hartung holds position as consultant in the areas of retail banking, cards and payment products to financial institutions, service providers, and software companies throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Anne Weatherston

Anne Weatherston has over 28 years of experience in banking and technology. She was group CIO of ANZ Bank for four years, during which she was responsible for a major transformation of the bank’s technology strategy which resulted in a major turnaround of underlying infrastructure and the design and execution of a new technology roadmap to underpin the bank's super-regional agenda in Asia. Prior to ANZ, Anne was group CIO at Bank of Ireland. She has also played technology leadership roles at Santander, National Australia Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland.

 

Eric Tachibana

Eric Tachibana has held senior banking roles at Barclays Capital, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, and most recently as Chief Operating Officer for the Asia Pacific technology office at UBS where he covered business management, enterprise applied innovation, strategy, marketing and engagement for investment banking, wealth management, and asset management. Eric has experience as entrepreneur in Silicon Valley as well as a successful private equity fund manager. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at the National University of Singapore and Thammasat University business schools. Currently he is working with Amazon Web Services in Platform Strategy and transformation.

 

Pravir Vohra

Pravir Vohra has over 30 years of working in the banking industry with senior roles in technology at ICICI Bank, State Bank of India and Times bank. He retired as the President and Group Chief Technology Officer of ICICI Bank Ltd in 2012 where he was responsible for IT strategy and innovation, enterprise architecture, process automation and leveraging technology synergies across the operations of the bank. Pravir is now a mentor to two start-up companies and advisor to a few technology companies.

Dr. Michael Ong

Dr. Ong is a professor of finance at the Illinois Institute of Technology and author of books on Basel, credit risk modelling and capital allocation that are widely read in the financial services industry. Previously, he was EVP and CRO of Credit Agricole Indosuez, where he held enterprise-wide responsibility for all risk management functions for corporate banking, merchant banking, asset management, capital markets activities, and the Carr Futures Group.

   
 

Mr. Edwin Yuen

Edwin Yuen has 13 years of senior management experience in the financial service industry. He served as chairman of the Basel Implementation Committee of the Hong Kong Bankers Association in 2011. Prior to his current position, Edwin was head of risk analytics for Standard Chartered Bank based in Singapore, responsible for the successful global implementation of its Basel II Program with the UK FSA for the wholesale banking division. He held various senior positions in Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Toronto, Canada and United Overseas Bank in Singapore.

   
 

Ms. Rona Morgan

Rona Morgan was the former group head of risk strategy at ANZ Bank until 2013, and before that, the head of risk strategy at HSBC Asia Pacific. She was responsible for Basel II implementation for HSBC, leading a large team to successfully adopt the most advanced approaches in one of the world's largest banking group. Her extensive knowledge in risk management is strengthened with a previous background as a commercial banker and a belief in strong regulatory engagement. She attended INSEAD and the London Business School.

Bill Chua

Bill Chua was former Managing Director and Head of Global Financial Institution of UOB. Possessing rich experience in the financial services industry, he has held various director level, independent positions at various organisations, and currently serves as an Independent Director at Sunseap Group, Singapore’s largest clean energy provider. In his 34 years of experience in the financial services industry, he has covered institutional wholesale and consumer banking in the front, middle and back offices. Prior to joining UOB in 2000, Chua was with Citibank for 20 years. He serves as a director for several UOB-owned companies and/or joint ventures, and is also an active member of the financial and education communities in Singapore.

   
    

James Cullen

James Cullen is a career banker with over 30 years of regional and international experience in the financial services industry. His banking career began and concluded with Wells Fargo, and in between included two decades of holding executive positions with Bank of America and US Bancorporation’s international banking division 1995-1999. James is the co-founder for JD Cullen & Co, a corporate advisory consulting company and also chairs audit committee of CD Stimson, a REIT company.

   
    

Damian Glendinning

Damian Glendinning has over 35 years’ experience in the field of finance, accounting and treasury. He is currently vice president and group treasurer at Lenovo, which he joined in 2005 after 21 years with IBM. Prior to this, Glendinning was IBM’s Asia Pacific treasurer from 2001 to 2005 and has worked with IBM for 21 years in various functions including internal audit, pricing, accounting, planning, and treasury. He was also director of their global treasury operations in New York. Damian is also Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) charter holder and the President of the Association of Corporate Treasurers for Singapore.

     
    

Mathew Welch

Mathew Welch has over 25 years of senior executive experience in financial markets in Asia, with strong track record in building and leading various financial services businesses throughout the region. He is currently a Board Member at XacBank, a community development bank in Mangolia. Prior to starting his own firm, Mathew was Managing Director & Head of Banks, Asia (ex-Japan) at Daiwa Securities Capital Markets, Managing Director and Head Financial Institutions, Asia at ING Investment Banking, Managing Director, Investments at Temasek Holdings and Global Head of Banks at Standard Chartered. He holds a MBA degree from Harvard Business School.
