The Excellence in Retail Finance and Technology Innovation South Korea Awards 2024

The Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Finance South Korea Awards is a well-established event, recognising remarkable innovation, leadership, management, and performance in consumer banking and technology in South Korea. Open to banks and non-banks, the programme honours the most innovative applications, products, and services in the industry. It also evaluates the successful implementation of technology projects between financial institutions and their technology partners.

The programme welcomes submissions from financial technology players such as payment companies, marketplaces, platforms, and alternative financial services platforms enabled by fintech, contributing to the transformation of the retail financial services industry.

We continue to align our awards programme with four major megatrends defining the global retail financial services industry for the next decade: personalisation at scale, new forms of customer engagement, embedded and inclusive finance, and the externalisation of financial services through open banking. These trends are underpinned by significant advancements in areas like DeFi and blockchain, generative AI, contactless payments and cloud computing.

We invite financial institutions and technology companies to submit entries for the Excellence in Retail Finance and Technology Innovation South Korea Awards 2024. The submission period opens on 3 January 2024, with a deadline of 5 March 2024. Winning initiatives, applications, and projects will be announced at the end of March 2023. The Excellence in Retail Finance and Technology Innovation South Korea Awards 2024, coincides in 2024 with the Global Excellence in Retail Finance Awards 2024 programme held on 7-8 March 2024, a gathering of the most the best and most innovative retail finance institutions from around the world.
